Lessons the Happie Boys Drama is teaching the universe through OPM

Lessons the Happie Boys and Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Church is teaching the universe

The universe has a way of teaching ignored lessons.

These Boys (Happie Boys) who were dismissed for being irresponsible and dancing on duty at Chicken Republic last year, took to social media to call out their employer. Just to generate pity & raise sentiment against their employer. They were security guards, who were hailed for being happy for their job while dancing at their duty post. What Happie Boys deserved then was general/backlash from the public, as correction to point out their wrong & put them in order lest they assume they can always have it their way.

But as always, Nigerians value frivolity so much. We have too emotional people who care zero to nothing about discipline & we forget someone/owns the business and had hired them, which in a way, puts the company ahead in decision making in matters like this. And I remember being one of the few Nigerians who wouldn’t fall for Happie Boys sentiment & condemned it in strong terms. A pig will always be pig, regardless of how many/times you clean it up! It runs in their DNA.

The Happie Boys got sponsored by Pastor Chibuzor Chinyere the head pastor of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) who stated they were too young to be security guards and they should be in school. Just like he has been doing for others by helping them through social media he did the same for them. Sadly fast forward to some days back the boys called out the pastor, stating he no longer sponsors them again and they dropped out of school because they couldn’t meet up and things have been so difficult. Since they shared this information, the internet has been wild… there has been critique on the boys and also the pastor.

For the next ‘Good Nigerian’ that will still choose cheap popularity over moral ethics. More elbow to your grease! Because you’re sure going to be smeared black pretty soon with same rotten grease by your own elbows. One of the problems we have in Nigeria is leadership and wealth residing in the hands of very wrong people. People who don’t know how so sustain ethics, Wealth and culture through a value chain. These ones didn’t need such gestures in the first place.

Vocational training would have done better justice than this sight seeing they went for at Cyprus. But like the social media lapdogs would say, who are we to tell a successful man, especially a “man of God” how to spend his money?
