#BeatPlasticPollution: Dantown and iRecycle Partner for World Environment Day to Beat Plastic Pollution

Dantown, a fast-growing Nigerian crypto exchange partnered with iRecycle, a renowned environmental sustainability and recycling company, to mark World Environment Day with a community service.

In a remarkable display of unity and dedication towards environmental sustainability. The event which was held at Abuloma Market in Port Harcourt LGA, Rivers State, witnessed a resounding success as volunteers and community members came together to #BeatPlasticPollution.

Despite facing challenging weather conditions on Saturday, June 3rd 2023, the community witnessed the joint effort of Dantown and iRecycle in action. Market women and men, eco-conscious volunteers, and employees from both organisations enthusiastically embarked on a clean-up mission to rid the area of plastic waste. Their enthusiasm was evident as they proudly wore colourful shirts displaying the logos of Dantown and iRecycle, symbolising their shared commitment to a cleaner and greener future.

The clean-up exercise kicked off with a public sensitisation at the market, highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability and the urgent need to tackle plastic pollution. Market women and men eagerly absorbed this knowledge, recognising the significance of their involvement in creating a cleaner and healthier environment. The volunteers tirelessly embarked on the clean-up efforts, armed with gloves and cleaning materials provided by Dantown. With every piece of plastic waste collected, the spirit of collaboration grew stronger, fostering a renewed sense of hope for a sustainable future.
