How the Galaxy Music Award is making a difference in the South

Four years ago we witnessed and saw how the Galaxy Music Award started in the beautiful city of Port Harcourt and we were impressed with what the organizers put together, this was in 2018. The best talents were awarded and celebrated in Port Harcourt and this was exciting to watch.

From then and now the Galaxy Music Award has evolved and its now one of the most anticipated award show in the Southern part of Nigeria.

About the Galaxy Music Award Show

Galaxy Music Award is organized by Galaxy360media, it began in the year 2018 and its an award show held annually to recognize, encourage and reward Nigerian talent in the music industry.

The award ceremony has recorded a resounding success in its previous editions in Port Harcourt, with over 20 categories and winners, the Award was created to encourage the fast-rising new and creative generation in the music industry, at first in the Niger Delta. This is to fill the gap of a viable platform encouraging these individuals to do more and compete with the best anywhere in the world. Their vision is to produce galaxy of stars in Africa and beyond hereby creating an alternative industry in the South-East/South-South.

The 2022 edition

All is set for the 2022 edition with the theme Colors of the South happening 7th December 2022, the 4th edition which would be held in Port Harcourt at the Aztech event center by 4pm starts with red carpet and main show beginning by 6pm. The 2022 edition would be showing live on DSTV channel 262, GOTV channel 102, Startimes Channel 116.

The special category for the night is the GMA ROOKIE OF THE YEAR as the winner would be going home with recording deal while the NEXT RATED would be going home with a brand new car.
