Media personality Honey Ojukwu gave a special advice to Top Rated Music Artistes in Nigeria. Read it all below;
One day, A Nigerian Top MUSICIAN Would help clean up a SCHOOL, football pitch, or an abandoned street location, Basketball 🏀 court, or create a place where kids and youths in the ghetto can play or study for free as a way to give back to them for the fan love they have received.
Dear NIGERIAN Musicians, please when you get to the ghetto continue to do the things that would impact your Hood FANS because this Country keeps getting worse while your fans keep losing out and keep feeling abandoned.
We are so happy that you are succeeding and it’s takes millions to invite you for shows but please you would Dry a tear or two if you support in providing water, shelter or good health to the ghetto one way or the other! Things are happening!
Everything isn’t about money, but everything isn’t about taking pictures of the ghetto fans and captioning it “Love on the streets” and then you go home”. Even when you sing about how bad the country’s politics is, things still remain same in the Ghetto.
I wish I was a rich musician I would do better but I am just a JOURNALIST, doing my best to make impact with my voice since I see these things. Reciprocating fan love isn’t just about posting about the love the fans show you from the ghetto on Social Media.
Reciprocating fan love isn’t just about posting about the love the fans show you from the ghetto on Social Media. I believe you know that these fans in the streets need Good Food, Good Education and Better Shelter. Since our government can’t do it! You can!
Top Rated Music Artistes can help the Ghetto in Nigeria.
Through providing them with schools, helping them clean up their dirt, buying them clothing, establishing them in Skill acquisition schools, not just snapping with them, putting it in your story and screaming fan love!
Our government can’t provide for us but they can take our tasks and secretly invite you to their houses so you perform for them costly while we suffer and yet you go back to sing about them again!
You have done greatly in making Nigeria stand tall on the map! But just like celebrities like @WillUchemba try, you all can pull forces together and do what our funny governments can’t do. Even since the times of Fela!
