To everything that has a beginning, there must be an end. The 33rd edition of the Obong Christian Youth Forum which began on Wednesday, 25th December, 2019 has come to an end today, Saturday, 28th December, 2019.
This year’s Obong Ntak 2019 came with the theme, ” The Road Ahead.” The programme had several keynote addresses such as the “Jesus, the Chief Driver”, ” The Vehicle”, “Safety rules”, ” Drive to arrive alive” etc. There was also Fellowship, Chapel, morning and evening devotions and business empowerment to the tune of #100,000.
The forum witnessed a huge turn out of youths of the Churches of Christ from all over Nigeria and neighboring African Countries like the Cameroon. The congregation with the highest number of participants was Church of Christ, 144 Aka Road, Uyo with a total number of 106 participants while the congregation who was first to arrive camp was Church of Christ, Oruko Town, Urue Offong Oruko, Akwa Ibom State. The total number of registered participants were 1,557. A total of 167 congregations from 7 states participated in the forum.
The forum had a total of 29 persons who followed Christ through water baptism to the glory of God. The forum effected, affected and impacted upon of the lives of the youths positively as youths have been properly prepared and equipped to drive to arrive alive on the road ahead.
