Nollywood producer Mike Nliam has said Amstel Malta “lost” him as a customer following the announcement of Tonto Dikeh as a brand ambassador.
Recall that Tonto Dikeh, including Tiwa Savage, Dakore Egbuso–Akande, Ihuoma Linda Ejiofor–Suleiman and Cynthia Nwadiora (Cee-C), a few weeks ago was unveiled as a lead act in Amstel Malta’s new campaign to celebrate the Power of Women.
The all-female new campaign seeks to highlight how women are living their best lives while excelling in their various fields no matter their profession or background.
However, Mike is not impressed by the inclusion of Tonto following her social media drama and incessant attacks on her ex-husband Olakunle Churchill.
In a post on Facebook, he disclosed he has stopped consuming the premium malt drink because of the controversial actress and wouldn’t want to be associated with the brand.
Actress Grace Ama couldn’t agree more with Mike Nliam that Tonto is gifted and talented but not an “icon”
She posited that the mother-of-one is only popular for her “immorality” adding that it is as a result of her character that there is no discipline or dignity in the Nollywood industry.
The two also cited Naira Marley and Etinosa as a bad influence on the youth. A fan spoke up in defence of Tonto Dikeh and who women should support each other not tear each other down.
