The Afro Street Festival was the festival that lit up the weekend in the city of Port Harcourt and we wish the weekend didn’t end because of this festival.
It was a street affair with so much of entertainment and beautiful cultural display. The interesting thing about the festival was the unique display of fashionable African culture starting with the entrance in the street, various creative artwork, lovely outfits, display from vendors and many more. There was fun at almost every angle, you could miss some because when you get involved in one you can’t leave or withdraw from the fun.
The activities for the street festival were so much that we couldn’t capture it all. The skaters kept entertaining people with different moves, there was fashion display with energetic models strutting the runway, the bikers also came through with their loud bikes to change the atmosphere, there was fire display by fire dancers, cultural display was the highlight of this event from the masquerade to the cultural dancers who came through with an entertaining performance. Let’s not forget to talk about the band, the creative DJ’ s, Port Harcourt artists and the energetic host that gave us back to back entertainment at the event. We also saw great personalities from the entertainment industry who passed by to witness and enjoy the excitement.
We could go on and on about this event cause honestly a lot of great things happened at the Afro Street Festival and one thing we are realised in Port Harcourt is that the city is woke and good stuffs happen in the city.
